Scriptures taken from the HalleluYah Scriptures
When I was a child, I didn’t understand the prayer, I prayed before I went to bed at night, and the prayer I said before I ate each meal. But at the end of those prayers, I had better say, “in Yahusha’s (Jesus’) Name”, and that was said after every prayer. I started to stress; “in Yahusha’s Name” because, I really wanted Him to hear my prayers. Now, I didn’t understand then, as a child why I wanted him to hear my prayers, granny didn’t go into all that, but when I got older, I started to study more into The Word, by reading not only just the New Testament, but the Old Testament, and I did a lot of research into finding those answers to my questions. The more I read into The Word, the more I started to ask questions about, His Name!
I listened to ministers teach that the power of Yahusha’s Name will stop the darkness. As a teenager, I had frequent night-terrors, and shouting out His Name in those evil dreams became very handy to put a stop to those night-terrors. I was amazed even in my dreams, how the mention of his name scattered evil. I began to deeply; understand and appreciate the fact, that evil has to flee because at the mention of Yahusha. Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all
the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Yahusha is the Son of the Most-High!
Now, there are many names taught today, given to our Savior. There are those that say, Yahusha could not have been His name, because, the letter ‘Y’ wasn’t used in His time, but I argue, My Father created that Name for His Son, before man was able to record time. Others argue that Jesus Christ is the Greek name for Our Savior, which stands to reason why ancient Greeks chose the name Jesus, same as Zeus, Dionysus, and Hephaestus, to name a few because, Zeus is the chief deity of the Greeks. The suffix “sus” is commonly used to refer to all other lesser gods in reverence to Zeus.
The true Name of our Savior, Yahusha ha’Mashiah, is the name that was given to Him by His Father. YAHUSHA can be understood as YAH, the shortened name of the Father in Hebrew, which means; “salvation”. HA’ means “the” and MASHIAH, means, “Messiah”. Yahusha ha’Mashiah. Let’s not get confused with the Hebrew name for Joshua, Yahoshua. There is some debate on that too, but I won’t get into that right now. Is it important to know the Hebrew name of Our Messiah? For me, that question is easy to answer, yes. Because for me to understand Him, I have to have a personal relationship with Him, I have to read the Book of the Law (Bible), I have to praise the Father, and the Son, and to end my prayers, in the name of the Son, by the Name His Father gave to Him, that is getting personal with my Savior. When I started to use the Hebrew Name of my Savior, I got some push-back. Some would say, “He knows my heart”. With that, I just say, Jeremiah, 17:9, “The heart is crooked above all, and desperately sick – who shall know it?”
The Power of the Name of the, Son of Man goes beyond a simple understanding of who Yahusha is and what He stands for. There is power in His Name; healing power, Deliverance power, Mercy power, and Salvation power. The mention of His Name has the power to scatter the darkness, set demons trembling, and move mountains. John 14: 13-14, says, “And whatever you ask in My Name, that I shall do, in order that the Father might be esteemed I the Ben (son). 14 If you ask whatever in My Name, I shall do it.
Those are not just words. That is Power!
